Maarif & Gauthier
Four to eight storey buildings, tight stairwells, lifts too narrow for large furniture.
Electric furniture hoist planned by default up to the 7th floor, plus a stairwell crew for boxes.
Casablanca is the densest city in Morocco and the hardest one to move in. Narrow 1950s lifts, syndic rules, one-way streets and a rush hour that swallows entire afternoons. Our Casablanca crews work these constraints every day, and we plan around them before the truck leaves the depot.
Most of the residential stock between Maarif, Gauthier and Bourgogne was built between the 1940s and the 1970s. The buildings are four to eight storeys, the stairwells turn tightly, and the lifts were sized for people rather than furniture. A three-seat sofa or a full-height wardrobe will not go up, whatever the crew tries.
That single fact changes the whole plan. We survey the access first, decide whether the load goes through the stairwell or through the window with an electric hoist, and book the street space accordingly. Getting that wrong costs a full day, and it is the most common reason a cheap quote turns expensive on moving day.
Every district has its own access problem. These are the ones we plan around before the truck leaves the depot.

Villas behind gates and private driveways; some access roads will not take a large truck.
Access checked in advance; shuttle van between the villa and the main truck when the driveway is too tight.
Sea air and permanent humidity attack electronics and solid wood.
Reinforced wrapping with moisture barrier for appliances, screens and wooden furniture.
Dense residential blocks with restricted loading times set by the syndic.
We handle the syndic authorisation and book the loading slot before the move date.
Long distances between buildings in the business and new-build districts, plus gated compound checks.
Larger vehicle, security paperwork submitted ahead so the truck is not stopped at the barrier.
Older walk-up blocks, frequently without a working lift.
Reinforced team of four movers instead of three, so the carry does not stretch into the evening.
Between 07:30 and 09:30 and again from 17:00 to 20:00, Boulevard Zerktouni, Avenue Hassan II, the El Jadida road and the Sidi Maarouf interchange are saturated. We do not schedule loading or delivery into those windows; a truck stuck in traffic is a crew paid to wait.
Many buildings in Maarif, CIL and Bourgogne require written permission from the syndic before a lift or a stairwell can be used for a move, and some restrict moves to specific weekdays. We request it as soon as the date is fixed.
There is rarely room to simply park a moving truck in central Casablanca. We identify the loading point in advance and, where a hoist is needed, make sure the pavement footprint is clear on the day.
Every move is priced on its own constraints. These are the ones that move the number here.
Yes. Once your date is fixed we request written permission from the syndic for the lift and stairwell, which several buildings in Maarif, CIL and Bourgogne require before a move can go ahead.
We plan an electric furniture hoist from the outset. It reaches up to the 7th floor and takes wardrobes, sofas and appliances through the window or balcony, while the crew carries boxes up the stairs in parallel.
Yes, and in central Casablanca a Saturday morning is often the smoothest option because the traffic on Zerktouni and Hassan II is far lighter. Some syndics restrict weekend moves, so we check that first.
Yes, both are part of our Casablanca service area, along with Mohammedia. Gated compounds there need security paperwork in advance, which we prepare so the truck is not turned away at the barrier.
For addresses in Ain Diab and along the corniche we use a moisture barrier under the standard wrapping for electronics, screens and solid wood, which are the items that suffer from salt air.
Two weeks is comfortable for a Casablanca move. It leaves time for the syndic authorisation, the access survey and a hoist booking if your building needs one. End of month and end of summer fill up faster.
Tell us the two addresses and the volume. You get a clear, fixed quote with no obligation.
