In Souissi, a villa move often means a gated property inside a diplomatic zone. The crew list and vehicle registration have to be submitted in advance, and a truck that turns up without clearance simply does not get through. The rest of the city is more conventional but has its own constraints. Agdal is dense apartment living with one-way streets and very little kerbside room. Hay Riad is newer, wider and far easier to work in. Hassan and the old town have the narrow, sloping streets you would expect.

  3. Agdal has nowhere to put a truck

    The combination of one-way streets, residents' parking and constant traffic means the loading point has to be chosen in advance. Improvising on arrival costs an hour before anything is carried.
